Recorded and mixed by Richard Belkner at Free Energy Device
Mastered by Nate Wood

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.

Drumset chants offered on this recording are based on an alternative rhythmic vocabulary I've been working on for the past few years that I call "coiling". It's been a fun journey to try and create a personal language for the drums based on the idea of coiled or entangled rhythm lines that form dense collections of gurgling/chattery rhythmic material. If you want to find out more please get in touch.

“Think of waves on the beach. Some are high, some are low. That’s the weather. But in the background the tide is coming in. That’s climate change. Even though the waves haven’t changed their properties, they come closer and closer to your feet,” Martin Stendel
(Danish Meteorological Institute)
