These tracks were performed on a Lyra 8 organismic synthesizer.

I love this machine so much and feel a deep aesthetic and physical/kinetic connection to it. The Lyra is a kind of improvisational tool in that it’s very difficult to revisit an idea as any tiny difference in movement, touch, pulse rate, sweat, can change how it responds. I really like being in “total feedback” mode all the time where there is always the possibility of total chaos due to any chance movement. In this context I love exploring tiny movements in response to the Lyra that feel like a kind of imperceptible micro-movement form of drumming.

I'm very inspired by communities of researchers involved in projects that will explore Jupiter and Saturn's moons in coming decades including the "Dragonfly" and "Europa Clipper" missions. While making these tracks I was imagining lifeforms emerging from Titan's lakes making distorted Titan music.
